1. Acknowledgment of Services
By booking, purchasing, or participating in any service, program, class, or event at Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge ("Company," "Studio," or "Provider"), you acknowledge and agree that all offerings—including but not limited to facials, chemical peels, ProCell Microchanneling, Hydra facials, body treatments, Reiki, sound baths, barre or movement classes, and coaching programs—are designed to promote relaxation, beauty, and personal wellness.
These services are not medical procedures and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease, disorder, or physical condition. All treatments are provided for cosmetic and wellness purposes only.
2. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
You understand that participation in any skincare, wellness, or fitness service carries inherent risks, including, but not limited to, allergic reactions, irritation, breakouts, sensitivity, redness, swelling, scarring, pigmentation changes, or personal discomfort.
By proceeding, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge, its owners, practitioners, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability for injury, loss, or damages that may occur as a result of your participation.
You acknowledge that results vary by individual and depend on factors such as skin condition, health history, lifestyle, and home care routine.
3. Skincare & Chemical Peel Disclaimer
By booking any skincare service, you understand and agree that:
• All treatments, including chemical peels, ProCell Microchanneling, facials, and resurfacing services, involve the application of professional-grade ingredients that may cause temporary side effects such as redness, peeling, dryness, or mild irritation.
• You have disclosed all allergies, medications (including Retin-A, Accutane, antibiotics, and topical products), and medical history to your provider prior to treatment.
• You understand that post-care instructions must be followed to minimize adverse effects.
• You accept full responsibility for your skin's reaction and agree that no guarantees of specific results are made or implied.
Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge and its practitioners are not liable for complications, reactions, or dissatisfaction resulting from any skincare or cosmetic treatment.
4. Coaching, Healing & Educational Disclaimer
All coaching, energy, and healing programs (including "Divine Destiny Blueprint," "Abundant Woman," "Inner Soul Beauty," "Reclaiming Your Badassery," and related offerings) are designed for personal growth, empowerment, and educational purposes only.
They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.
Results vary by individual, and success depends on personal effort, commitment, and circumstances.
You agree that Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge and Mary Frances Weaver do not guarantee specific results or transformations and are not liable for any decisions or outcomes based on participation, guidance, or materials provided.
5. Medical Disclaimer
Please consult with a licensed healthcare provider before beginning any new skincare, wellness, or fitness regimen, particularly if you have underlying health conditions, allergies, or are pregnant or nursing.
If you experience any pain, discomfort, or adverse reaction during a treatment or session, you agree to inform your practitioner immediately and discontinue participation if necessary.
All services provided are complementary in nature and not intended to replace medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions.
6. Intellectual Property
All logos, photos, branding, course materials, videos, and written content on this website and within programs are the sole property of Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge and may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without written permission.
Any unauthorized use will be considered infringement and subject to legal action.
7. Consent to Service
By booking or attending any service, class, or session, you confirm that:
• You are over the age of 18 (or have a parent/guardian's consent).
• You have disclosed all relevant medical information, allergies, and skin conditions.
• You release Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge from any claims, damages, or demands arising out of your participation.
• You understand that results vary and agree not to hold the Studio or its representatives responsible for outcomes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge, its owner, and team shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses—direct, indirect, or incidental—arising out of your participation in services, programs, or use of this website.
This includes, but is not limited to, claims of negligence, misrepresentation, or failure to achieve expected results.
9. Refunds & Cancellations
All purchases, bookings, and deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. Cancellations must follow studio policy as outlined on our booking page.
10. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, and any disputes shall be resolved in Los Angeles County, California.
11. Agreement
By booking, attending, or participating in any Tropical Refuge service or program, or by using this website, you indicate that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this disclaimer, waiver, and release of liability.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this site or participate in our offerings.
By booking or participating in any service, skincare facial, or peel, session, or program at Tropical Refuge Wellness Lounge, you acknowledge that all offerings are elective and designed for personal wellness, relaxation, and education. Results vary by individual. Our skincare, Reiki, and coaching services are not medical treatments and do not replace professional healthcare or therapy. Tropical Refuge and its practitioners are not liable for any adverse reactions, interpretations, or outcomes related to participation. By proceeding, you consent to treatment at your own discretion and assume full responsibility for your experience & Service, releasing all liability.
Studio Class Policy: No-Shows & Late Arrivals
At Tropical Refuge we value your time, our instructors' time, and the integrity of the group experience. To create a respectful and seamless class environment, we have the following policy regarding no-shows and late arrivals:
No-Show & Late Arrival Policy
• No-Shows
If you book a class and do not attend, your payment will be forfeited. No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes.
• Late Arrivals
We allow a 5-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you will not be allowed to join the class for safety reasons and to respect the flow of the session. Your payment will be forfeited—no refunds or credits will be issued.
Why This Policy?
• To maintain the integrity of the warm-up and avoid injuries
• To honor the energy, focus, and commitment of the group
• To respect the instructor's time and teaching process
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid losing your class credit.
Note: By booking a class, you agree to this policy.
